I am writing this letter to apologize for my improper action in the office last week.  I know that it is against company policy to (state the action done) but I did it because (state the reason for your action).  I assure you that the action was not intended and I do not wish to violate any of the company rules.  I have been a good employee of this company for many years and I have kept a good record for my performance.

I am more than willing to undergo the due process that comes with the action I have done.  I accept any reprimand that you find fit for the action.  I will do all I can to make sure that this will not happen again.
